Dawson County Park was renamed “Veterans Memorial Park” in Spring 2007 and is home to the football field, swimming pool, and the new walking trail. Veterans also consist of baseball/softball/t-ball fields, tennis courts, gymnasium, an outdoor basketball court, and outdoor covered pavilions.

Pool

The pool at Veterans Memorial Park typically opens on the Saturday before Memorial Day each year; however, due to COVID-19 restrictions, it will open June 8, 2020. See full reopening memo with guidelines listed in the Supporting Documents section below.

Public swim hours for the pool are as follows:

-Monday-Saturday, 12:00-5:00PM
-Sunday, 1:00-6:00PM
-Once school begins for Dawson County for the 2020-2021 school year, the pool at Veterans will be open Monday/Wednesday/Friday 4:00-8:00PM, with the exception of Labor Day, which will be open regular hours (12:00-5:00PM).

Daily admission is $3 per person (anyone getting in the pool). Season passes are also available for purchase at Rock Creek during regular business hours (weekdays 8AM-5PM) and online. See below for additional information on season passes
