Hunting

Dawson County has some densely forested acreage that is home to a diversity of game species: deer, bear, turkey, small game animals, dove, and waterfowl. During the appropriate hunting season, licensed hunters can enjoy this sport on both public and private lands. Dawson Forest Wildlife Management Area allows seasonal public hunting for licensed hunters.
